Valo Cellars Tasting Room
As a collaboration with designer Tori Thames, this home reflects the rugged and exclusive ski resort of Powder Mountain in northern Utah, serving as both a residence and rental property for adventure seekers. The interior design leans on an industrial western mountain aesthetic, showcasing art from local artists in the area and large, comfortable furniture for lounging after a long day on the slopes. The main living area is open to the kitchen and features a large fireplace wall and picturesque views of the mountains beyond.

Valo Cellars Tasting Room
A collaboration with fellow designer and friend Tori Thames, this tasting room and wine bar serves as the first west coast outpost for the Montana-based winery. The interior design takes inspiration from the rugged Montana landscape, incorporating custom tables handmade by the owner (sourced from his Montana ranch), as well as a dramatic floor-to-ceiling pebble rock wall setting the stage for tasting. A seasonal selection of wine is proudly displayed in a custom-designed shadowbox embedded within the rock wall behind the tasting bar. Cork mixed into the sealed concrete bar countertop serves as a subtle nod to the brand. The dark and moody environment contrasts with the warm, natural oak wood and metal patina incorporated throughout, while the routed wall panels add texture and movement to the small space. Purposefully built for flexibility, the loose and varied furniture options allow for scalable and adaptable seating, while also opening the space up for future functions.
